July 2024 - Facebook Hacking Incident

For those who follow me on Facebook, on 26th July 2024 I suffered a hacking incident which closed down my entire Facebook business page. This was truly devastating as this has taken years to build, and I had achieved a following of almost 25,000! I tried tirelessly to get my business page restored but it has proved extremely difficult, especially as the platforms are not fully supported and mostly automated.

July 2020 - Thank you NHS

Heading 1

In July 2020, as part of the #portraitsforheroes project - where artists paint a portrait of an nhs frontline worker to say #thankyounhs in response to the Covid-19 pandemic effort - I presented Midwife Fleur Bridge Shuck from Lincoln County Hospital Maternity Unit with the portrait I created of her during the lockdown period. I chose a Midwife because I have a background of working for Maternity Services in the NHS, and I wanted to highlight the amazing work they have done over lockdown, supporting women to safely give birth during the crisis. Fleur is a fantastic Midwife and a very special person. Thank you NHS and all at Lincoln County Hospital who have worked tirelessly during this crisis.

October 2018 - Fame at last!

In October 2018 I was privileged to be the cover star and feature in the October edition of Lincolnshire Life magazine. This was such an exciting opportunity. Thanks to journalist Kate Chapman.

November 2017 - Fulfilling a Lifelong Dream

In November 2017 I was lucky enough to illustrate the cover for Deborah Barwick's latest book 'The Chronicle of the Lake: Blood Brothers Volume 2 (The Raven Saga)'. This was the sequel to her first book 'The Chronicle of the Well'.

Working with Deborah was a fantastic experience and fulfilled an ambition I've held since childhood of illustrating a book (at school I was convinced I was going to to be the next illustrator for the Daily Express Rupert the Bear annuals). I presented Deborah with the original painting of 'Albert' (the Raven star of her story) in York. This was quite an emotional day as finally meeting Deborah face to face after weeks of working together online, and her seeing Albert in the flesh for the first time was truly amazing; Deborah is a very talented writer and an extremely lovely lady.
